Dorothee Nagy Bucquet
Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer
Dorothee Nagy Bucquet joined SMBC MANUBANK in March 2026 as Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer, and she sits on the Bank’s Management Committee. She concurrently serves as Head of Corporate Compliance for SMBC Americas Holdings, Inc., reporting to SMBC Americas Chief Compliance Officer Lisette Lieberman. In these dual roles, Dorothee partners closely with key external and internal stakeholders, up to board-level, to advance best-in-class compliance practices and strengthen the management and mitigation of compliance risk. She is responsible for driving alignment across compliance teams to ensure that the organization meets regulatory obligations.
After joining SMBC Americas Holdings, Inc. in May 2023, Dorothee led a successful initiative to centralize the compliance function, enhancing consistency, efficiency, and scalability. She chairs the Corporate Compliance Risk Committee.
Prior to joining SMBC Group, Dorothee was Chief Operating Officer for CACIB Compliance Americas at Crédit Agricole CIB in New York. She spent much of her professional career in senior leadership roles across multiple business verticals at Société Générale, one of Europe’s largest banking groups.
Dorothee earned a master’s degree in financial engineering from École Centrale Paris and is fluent in French, English, and Hungarian.
