Michael Trivich
Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer
Michael Trivich joined SMBC MANUBANK in 2024 as Managing Director, Chief Credit Officer and in June 2026 became Chief Risk Officer. In this role, he manages the overall direction and control of risk exposure for the bank and provides leadership and strategic direction regarding the risk framework, including oversight of all financial and non-financial risk.
Before joining SMBC MANUBANK, he served as Senior Vice President, Credit Executive at Bank of Montreal (BMO), where he oversaw the bank’s 2nd line credit risk function with direct supervision of the Senior Credit Risk Officers covering the U.S. and Pacific Rim Countries’ commercial portfolios. Prior to that, Michael held multiple strategic development and growth-focused positions in 1st line and 2nd line credit risk management at 1st Century Bank, Division of MidFirst Bank; Opus Bank, Bank of America, PNC, Bank of Indiana, and MainSource Financial Group.
Michael resides in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, where he shares an active lifestyle with his family and friends. He enjoys hiking, cycling, and driving the classic 1962 Buick Electra 225 Coupe he restored.
